The shape of 2040
The busiest stretch. At most 4 planets are retrograde at the same time: Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus, on Jan 21 – Feb 8 (and again Feb 13 – Mar 4). Astrologers read a crowded retrograde sky as a period for review and repair across the board.
No fully clear window. There is no day in 2040 with every planet direct; at least one of the slow planets is retrograde throughout.
