When is Mercury retrograde?

The next Mercury retrograde runs from October 24 to November 13, 2026, beginning in Scorpio. It is the third and last of 2026, and it overlaps almost exactly with Venus retrograde (October 3 – November 13, also in Scorpio), which makes this autumn's cycle unusually concentrated: communication and relationships under review at the same time. What Mercury retrograde actually is

Mercury does not reverse. It orbits the Sun every 88 days, far faster than Earth, and three or four times a year it overtakes us on the inside of its orbit.
