Everything about Saturn retrograde in 2037 in one place: the exact station dates and degrees, the shadow periods, which other planets are retrograde at the same time, and a reading with practical advice for each of the twelve signs.
In 2037 Saturn is retrograde until April 27 and again from December 26 to May 11, 2038. The retrograde of Dec 26, 2037 – May 11, 2038 runs from 16°15′ Virgo to 9°23′ Virgo. Astrologers read it as a time to review commitments, limits, responsibility and long-term structure.

Saturn is retrograde once a year, for about four and a half months. Compared with the previous retrograde (Dec 13, 2036 – Apr 27, 2037), this one begins about 13° further along the zodiac, still in Virgo.
Times are UTC. Nothing reverses in space: retrograde motion is the apparent backward drift a planet shows when Earth overtakes it (or, for Mercury and Venus, when the planet overtakes Earth).

Saturn retrograde Dec 13, 2036 – Apr 27, 2037: key dates

| Sep 9, 2036 | Pre-retrograde shadow begins: Saturn first crosses 25°00′ Leo, the degree where it will later turn direct |
| Dec 13, 2036, about 03:00 UTC | Saturn stations retrograde at 2°53′ Virgo (the evening of December 12 in US time zones) |
| Feb 11, 2037 | Saturn backs out of Virgo into Leo |

Computed from NASA JPL Horizons. A station in the first hours of a UTC day falls on the previous evening in the Americas. Saturn is almost motionless around a station, so the time is given to the nearest 10 minutes; the date is firm.
What else is retrograde at the same time
Retrogrades overlap, and astrologers read them together. These planets are also retrograde during at least part of each period:
- Dec 13, 2036 – Apr 27, 2037: Mercury (Dec 15, 2036 – Jan 3, 2037), Mercury (Apr 5 – Apr 28, 2037), Jupiter (Oct 14, 2036 – Feb 9, 2037), Uranus (Oct 25, 2036 – Mar 23, 2037), Neptune (Jul 30, 2036 – Jan 3, 2037).
The whole year is on the retrograde calendar 2037.
What Saturn retrograde means in 2037
In astrology Saturn stands for commitments, limits, responsibility and long-term structure. Saturn retrograde is read as an audit: obligations you took on are tested, foundations get reworked, and lessons you thought were finished come back for a proper answer. In Virgo the subject is work, routines, health habits and attention to detail. In Leo the subject is confidence, creativity, romance and the need to be seen.
Who notices it most. For Dec 13, 2036 – Apr 27, 2037 astrologers look first at people with the Sun, Moon, rising sign or personal planets from 25° Leo to 2° Virgo, and at the matching degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius, Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces. Everyone else can read it through the house it falls in, below.
What to do
Review commitments, contracts and long-term plans, and fix the weak points you already know about. It is a better time to renegotiate a responsibility than to walk away from it in frustration. The longer guide, with the astronomy and the reading of a natal Saturn retrograde, is on the Saturn retrograde page.
