What archetype am I?
Two minutes, no email. Find which of the seven cosmic archetypes your Sun, Moon, rising sign and life path point to, from the Precise Alchemist to the Rebel.
Free · instant · no email
Every quiz on this page is computed from real birth data rather than multiple-choice guesswork: your cosmic archetype, what sign you are (and whether you are on a cusp), how compatible two charts are, whether your biorhythms sync, what personal year you are in. Pick one, get an answer in under a minute, and follow the links to understand it.
AstraLink's astrology quizzes are free interactive tools computed from your birth date: the cosmic archetype quiz (what archetype am I), a what-sign-am-I lookup with cusp check, a birth chart compatibility calculator and love match, a biorhythm compatibility test, a rising sign finder and a personal year calculator. No email is required; results are instant.
Each one runs in your browser from a birth date (sometimes two). Results link to a full explanation.

Most online astrology quizzes are personality quizzes in a costume: ten questions about whether you prefer beaches or mountains, then a result that says Scorpio. They are fun, and they tell you nothing you did not type in. The quizzes here work the other way round. You give a birth date (and, for the rising sign, a time and place), the tool computes something real from it, the position of the Sun, the Moon, the Ascendant, the numerology of the date, and the result is an interpretation of that computation. You cannot game it, which is the point.
It also means every result is a doorway. The archetype quiz leads to the archetypes guide, where each archetype is mapped to elements, modalities and planets. The what-sign-am-I lookup leads to zodiac dates and to individual birthday pages such as what sign is September 14. The love match leads to the compatibility hub and to synastry, the method astrologers use to compare two charts properly.
Our most-taken quiz. Carl Jung described archetypes as universal patterns in the psyche, and popular psychology usually lists twelve: the Innocent, the Everyperson, the Hero, the Caregiver, the Explorer, the Rebel, the Lover, the Creator, the Jester, the Sage, the Magician and the Ruler. AstraLink's version is astrological: seven cosmic archetypes, each computed from the combination of your Sun sign, Moon sign, rising sign and life path number. The Precise Alchemist, for example, is Virgo Sun, Pisces Moon, Scorpio rising and life path 5, and it has its own page. The quiz needs only your birth date to give a strong estimate; the app uses your exact birth time for the full result.
If you arrived here searching for a female archetype quiz or feminine archetypes, the same quiz applies. The cosmic archetypes describe energies, receptive and assertive, that everyone carries in different proportions, and the result names the mix rather than assuming a gender.
The compatibility calculator is the love match quiz: enter two birth dates and it scores the Sun and Moon pairings, explains what works and what rubs, and previews the full synastry the AstraLink app computes from both complete charts. If you want the quick, playful version, the biorhythm compatibility test compares two people's 23-, 28- and 33-day cycles and tells you whether your energy peaks together or in turns. For the why behind any pairing, the compatibility hub has every sign combination, starting with pages like Leo and Scorpio.
The Sun changes sign on slightly different days each year, so the boundary dates in magazines are approximate. The zodiac dates page gives this year's exact dates for every sign and a cusp check; if you were born within a day or two of a change, the birth chart calculator uses your birth time to settle it. Our Virgo-Libra cusp page explains why a cusp is really a question about the exact degree, not a blend of two signs.
Every quiz here is a preview of one part of a birth chart. The full chart, with your archetype, chart ruler, strongest aspects, life themes, relationships, career and money approach, read by AI and reviewed against classical rules, is what the AstraLink app produces from your birth time and place. Join early access and it is free at launch. Until then, everything on this page and the tools page costs nothing and asks for no email.
Every result on this site comes with two things a personality quiz cannot give you: a confidence level and a runner-up. The confidence level tells you how much of the answer depends on information you did not provide. Without a birth time the Moon sign is an estimate for about a third of people (the Moon changes sign roughly every two and a half days, and if it moved on your birthday the tool cannot know which side you are on) and the rising sign is unknown, so the archetype quiz says so rather than pretending. Add the time and the confidence goes to exact.
The runner-up matters because nobody is one thing. A Sovereign with an Oracle runner-up leads differently from a Sovereign with a Guardian behind them; a 78% compatibility with a hard Moon square has a different texture from a 78% built on easy trines. Read the second line of every result; it is usually where the useful part is.
Results are yours to share. Nothing is stored on our side, and a screenshot of your archetype or a love match is a better conversation starter than a Sun sign, because it says something specific. When you want the full picture, the app writes the reading for your exact placements, and that is the version worth sending to someone you actually like.
Yes. Every quiz and calculator on this page runs in your browser, needs only a birth date (plus time and place for the rising sign) and asks for no email or signup. The AstraLink app extends them with your full chart, free for early-access members at launch.
It is computed, not answered. Instead of asking questions you could steer, it takes your birth date (and birth time in the app), works out your Sun, Moon, rising sign and life path number, and maps that combination to one of seven cosmic archetypes. The result is an interpretation of your chart rather than a reflection of your mood that day.
The birth chart compatibility calculator is the love match quiz: two birth dates produce a scored Sun and Moon comparison with the reasoning. For a lighter version, the biorhythm compatibility test compares two people's daily cycles. The app computes full synastry from both complete charts.
Only for the rising sign finder and for the most precise archetype result. Sun sign, personal year, lucky numbers, Saturn return and biorhythm need just the date. The compatibility calculator works from dates and improves with times, because the Moon sign can change during a day.
